December 1 - The Alphabet Club "O"

I'm still catching up on my letters for the Alphabet Club. And this will be a very short entry. Let's start with the German sweet treat.

O = Ofenschlupfer

This is a sort of casserole and what you need to prepare it is apples, old bread rolls, milk, eggs and sugar. You slice the rolls and the apples, put them into a casserole alternating layers of bread and apples. Then you mix the milk, eggs and sugar, add some cinnamon (most people also add raisins but we don't like that) and pour it over the bread and apples. Then you cook it for about 40 minutes in the oven. Oven = Ofen. My husband likes it with vanilla sauce.

Isn't this a very nice scenery? A park or an orchard with a little house in the background. A wonderful place for taking a walk.

I cannot show you anything here. I was browsing through my charts and magazines but couldn't find anything with O. I'm sure that there are designers or companies whose names start with this letter - but not in my stash. Who would have thought this? Lol.
