Hello, dear blogging friends,
September wasn't the best of all months stitching wise. There was never enough time to stitch, only three or four days when I could stitch to my heart's content. But nevertheless I have two finishes.
Finish #1 is Autumn by Elizabeth Designs that I was stitching together with Margaret. We have already stitched Spring and Summer. Here is a picture of Autumn
and here are all three seasons together
Tomorrow we will start the Winter piece and I am looking forward to it.
Finish #2 is my Solo September piece. Solo September was offered by Justine who had been doing this one-project-at-a-time stitching already in April and in July. And now, in September I decided to join her - together with many other stitchers - because I wanted one of these BAPs finished that I started two years ago. If you want to see what the others were stitching on click here. Thank you, Justine, for this great stitching event.
I have to admit that there is a little bit of cheating involved as on the last day of September there were still two little motifs in the outer border left to stitch. So I finished this piece yesterday morning - but I count it as a September finish :)
One of the next days I will have a new start - a new Linda Myers project. It will not be easy to choose one as there are a few that I really really want to stitch immediately. These are the ones that tempt me all the same:
Can you see why it's so difficult to choose?
New stash - yes, I have some new stash although I once said that I wanted to stitch from what I have. And that's what I mainly do. But from time to time we stitchers just "need" this or that new chart, don't we? And besides this, I want to support the designers and the cross stitch stores. So a little new stash every now and then is in order.
Here are my new treasures:
- Pirates Fun kit by Bothy Threads for my grandson
- Unity Birdhouses by Leisure Arts
- a Dimensions kit Glory of Autumn
- and a wonderful book with designs of landscapes by Maria Diaz that I am not allowed to show a picture of due to the publisher.
That's all for today. I hope October will be a great blogging and stitching month for us all.
